A New Domestic Base for Next-Generation Battery Research Prepares Operations
Enpower Japan Corp. is establishing a new domestic base, the "Yokohama Technology Center," in Torihama-cho, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama City, of the Kanagawa Prefecture. Currently under construction, the center is scheduled to begin operations this summer. The Yokohama Technology Center will house a prototype production line with labs for research and offices. Once fully operational, the center will not only continue the ongoing research and development of next-generation batteries by Enpower Japan, but it will also begin prototyping batteries as pouch cells and cylindrical cells.
"BATTERY JAPAN [Spring] 2024," was held from Wednesday, February 28 to Friday, March 1, 2024. At the show, Enpower Japan introduced new contract services which will initiate at the Yokohama Technology Center. “Over the three day event, our booth welcomed a total of over two hundred visitors, with most of them showing interest in our contract services, indicating a higher level of interest than we had anticipated” stated Fandong Meng, Senior Manager at Enpower Japan.
Fandong continues, “since the exhibition, we have received numerous inquiries about our contract services that will fully launch when the Yokohama Technology Center is operational. This business will offer solutions such as contract prototyping, evaluation, and the development of batteries. We will provide tailored proposals to address customer concerns, including material selection, manufacturing process optimization, performance evaluation data, and promotional strategies.”
As a cell manufacturer with extensive experience in the independent research, development, and production of next-generation batteries, Enpower Japan is uniquely positioned to offer specific solutions.
